The Board of Western Hospital is very happy to announce that our Cardio-Vascular Hybrid Theatre is now open for business. SA Health completed their 3-stage inspection at the end of March and we are simply delighted with the additional clinical service provision we are now able to offer.

Conditions requiring diagnostic and interventional expertise are now being conducted. The most common procedures undertaken include:

• Angiogram

• Angioplasty

• Stent Insertion

• Pacemaker Insertion

• Defibrillator Implantation

• Procedures associated with poor circulation

 

The Hybrid Theatre has ignited the interests of the universities with requests for Western to host Medical, Bioscience and Technology Students and PhD candidates.
